LARRE, Dr. Lucien

In an effort to protect the public, the Board of the College of Psychologists of BC has directed the issuance of this notice, to alert the public to the fact that Father Lucien Paul Larre of Coquitlam, British Columbia, does not hold current registration as a psychologist in British Columbia.

Father Larre is not currently a registrant of the College of Psychologists of BC, and is not otherwise associated with the College. Father Larre was previously registered with the College, but the College’s Inquiry Committee suspended his registration on an interim basis in November 2006 to protect the public pending an investigation and potential hearing of the College’s Discipline Committee. While he was suspended, Father Larre chose not to renew his registration with the College, and, as a result, his registration was cancelled effective January 1, 2008. In September 2008, Father Larre agreed to an undertaking not to apply for reinstatement of his registration.

As a result of the cancellation of his registration, Father Larre is prohibited under the Health Professions Act from working or practising in British Columbia as a “registered psychologist” or a “psychologist”, and must not use either title to describe his work, or in association with any description of his work, in British Columbia. He is also prohibited from using any name, title, description, or abbreviation of a name or title in any manner that expresses or implies that he continues to be registered as a psychologist in British Columbia, or that he otherwise continues to be associated in any way with the College of Psychologists of BC.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to the College of Psychologists of BC at (604) 736-6164.
