Nature of Action: A request from, and a grant by, the registrant of an undertaking and consent agreement including: “…an initial supervision period of six (6) months, during which [his] supervisor will request and review a sample set of [his] practice records to further assess [his] practice, with particular emphasis on the areas identified [by the Inquiry Committee]. If the supervisor recommends to the Inquiry Committee that the period of supervision be shortened, and in the event the Inquiry Committee is of the view that the period of supervision should be shortened, the minimum period of supervision will be three (3) months. If the supervisor recommends to the Inquiry Committee that the period of supervision be extended beyond the initial six (6) month period, and in the event the Inquiry Committee is of the view that the period of supervision should be extended,[he] hereby consent[s] to an additional two (2) month extension of the supervision period to a maximum period of supervision of not more than eight (8) months”.

Reasons: A complaint resolved by means of undertaking or consent pursuant to section 36(1) of the Health Professions Act, concerning recognition and management of personal issues and vulnerabilities within the professional role and provision of psychological services; recognition and management of professional relationships to avoid dual roles; termination of services and recognition and management of ongoing therapeutic relationships; and judgment regarding email correspondence
