Happy New Year

The CPBC Board and staff extend their best wishes for the 2021 year to all Registrants.

COVID-19 Updates and Vaccination Scheduling Information

CPBC will continue to provide Registrants with information about the COVID-19 pandemic response as it becomes available. We anticipate more information will be available in coming days and weeks.

Vaccinations began in December, and the first groups to get vaccinated between now and February include:

  • Residents, staff and essential visitors to long-term care and assisted-living residences
  • Individuals in hospital or community awaiting a long-term care placement
  • Health care workers providing care for COVID-19 patients in settings like Intensive Care Units, emergency departments, medical/surgical units and paramedics
  • Remote and isolated Indigenous communities

Registrants are also urged to consult the Ministry of Health and BC Centre for Disease Control websites for the most up-to-date information. The B.C. health ministry’s official site for COVID-19 vaccination information can be found online here. The B.C. Centre for Disease Control’s official site for COVID-19 vaccination distribution can be found online here.

Self-Care Webinar Series Available on Registrant Portal

CPBC encourages all Registrants to attend to self-care during these challenging times. We remind Registrants that both components of the Self-Care Necessity webinar series are available on the Registrant Portal for viewing. Part 1 “Understanding Self-Care: The Basics and Beyond” and Part 2 “Implementation Strategies for Optimal Functioning” are available at no cost to our Registrants. We are pleased to be able to support the importance of registrant self-care.

Renewal Receipts, Certificates and updates to Directory

Please note that we are actively processing renewal changes.  2021 statuses will be posted shortly and directory information changes will follow once the renewal data has been entered.  We hope to have renewal receipts and 2021 registration certificates mailed by the end of the month.  We appreciate your patience as we work to complete the renewal process which has been impacted by necessary pandemic related changes in the office.
