The College of Psychologists is pleased to open its applications website for application for registration as a school psychologist registrant beginning April 24, 2023. This meets our commitment to providing school psychologists currently employed in schools a full year to complete the registration process.
The British Columbia Association of School Psychologists (BCASP) and CPBC have collaborated to map out an expedited process for BCASP members to obtain registration as school psychologist registrants of the CPBC. School psychologists who are not members of BCASP are also able to begin the application process. The Minister of Health recently approved changes to the Psychologists Regulation which mean that after May 1, 2024, all school psychologists must be registrants of the College and that only registrants of the College of Psychologists of British Columbia may make a psychology diagnosis or a school psychology diagnosis.
